Brandless opens LA pop-up

Brandless, the San Francisco-based e-comm startup that offers its entire personal care and beauty assortment for $3 an item, has opened its first pop-up shop in West Hollywood calling it a “pop-up with a purpose.”

The pop-up will feature a range of lifestyle-themed events – Instagram @brandlesslife

According to the Brandless website, the company is inviting customers to visit the “Brandless utopia, full of interactive delights and Instagrammable moments, along with events, workshops, and panels featuring community members and thought-leaders in wellness, food, entrepreneurship, and social impact.”

The pop-up is open to the public during regular hours. It will not sell any product, rather consumers will have the opportunity to sample product and engage with social media and live-stream programs.

Customers can also purchase tickets to closed-door private programming which includes talks on wellness and yoga, nutrition, skin and hair care. Celebrities leading the seminars include actress Sophia Bush, former Self magazine editor-in-chief Joyce Chang, and FabFitFun CEO Katie Rosen Kitchens.

Brandless started up in July of 2017 with an assortment of home and personal care products all priced at $3 each. It subsequently rolled out a natural beauty line and has plans to continue expanding its beauty collection from its current selection.

The company is backed by $50 million, $35 million of which was secured in a Series B round of funding in December 2017.

The Brandless pop-up runs for two weeks from May 1 through the 13th, and is located at 8483 Melrose Avenue.
