The true arrival of autumn has everything to do with the Starbucks fall drinks of 2022 lineup. As far as we’re concerned, there’s not a detectable chill in the air, the leaves haven’t started to turn, and our cardigans don’t come out of storage until you can order a Pumpkin Spice Latte in Starbucks stores nationwide without shame.
And now that the chain has brought back its seasonal coffee to the Starbucks drinks menu, we can officially shift into the mindset of all things autumn. Put out your best fall decor, wear the coziest sweaters, and start watching your favorite fall movies.
Whether you’re a traditionalist—that is, obsessed with Starbucks pumpkin drinks—or into testing out all the newest Starbucks flavors, your go-to fall order can be found on the list below. And although there aren’t any completely new fall Starbucks drinks added to the mix this year, there is a major update to last year’s instant hit, the Apple Crisp Macchiato, which is now made with oat milk as the default.
Another thing we love about the Starbucks fall menu 2022 is how customizable it is. For instance, not into 2% milk? Swap it for creamy whole milk, or a nondairy option like oat, almond, soy, or coconut. And as much as we love them, we’re the first to admit those fall specialty drinks can veer on the sweet side; adjust the sugar level by cutting down on pumps of vanilla syrup and pumpkin sauce, or by skipping whipped cream. (Pro tip: These customizations are much easier to do via mobile ordering in the Starbucks app—plus, you can score rewards points.)
Keep reading to find out everything on the Starbucks fall menu, as well as some recommendations for some healthier fall drink options including dairy-free and vegan drinks. Suggestions for Starbucks fall drinks without coffee are also here, along with options for those who prefer to make their morning brew at home. And enjoy them while you can, because before long, it will be time for those Starbucks 2022 holiday drinks to make their long-awaited arrival. The Starbucks fall drinks of 2022 ahead!
Apple Crisp Oat Milk Macchiato
You know when you’re baking an apple pie and are like, I wish my entire life could smell like this? The Apple Crisp Macchiato captures that exact feeling; plus, it has coffee. It was first introduced in 2021, but now is made with oat milk for a nondairy update. (That said, you can have it made with any milk of your choice.)
The bev is made with a base of steamed milk with espresso shots poured slowly on top, but it also has a brown sugar apple syrup and—wait for it—caramelized-spiced apple drizzle on top. It’s available both hot or iced, but we recommend the hot version—the way the syrup melts into the drink adds a richer flavor.
Pumpkin Spice Latte

When it comes to fall drinks at Starbucks, the pumpkin spice latte is the GOAT. Made with pumpkin spice syrup, espresso, and the steamed milk of your choice, the PSL is iconic for a reason. To make it a bit lighter, you can opt for nonfat milk—or try it iced and ask for a dollop of unsweetened cold foam instead of whipped cream. For maximum pumpkin-ness, enjoy with the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin or Pumpkin Scone, which are also back on the menu for the season.
Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

In the last couple years, the options for fall cold drinks at Starbucks have been seriously elevated. In fact, in 2020, this drink outsold the PSL—drama! The pumpkin in this bev comes from the addictive pumpkin cream cold foam, which tops off cold brew flavored with vanilla syrup. You can make changes to fit your dietary needs—request less foam, fewer pumps of syrup, or even sugar-free vanilla—but PSA: Because of the cold foam, this one sadly can’t be made vegan or dairy-free.
Apple Crisp Oat Milk Frappuccino
Don’t sleep on this frothy drink that tastes just like an apple pie milkshake. It has the creamy, dreamy flavors of apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar along with coffee and oat milk, and it’s all topped with whipped cream and a spiced apple drizzle. It’s a special treat, but it’s so worth it.
Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
If the Apple Crisp Frapp is like an apple pie milkshake, the PSL Frapp is like a pumpkin pie milkshake. It has all the pumpkin spice flavors you love, blended with coffee, the milk of your choice, and ice. Then of course, it comes topped with whipped cream (or not) as well as pumpkin pie spice.
Cinnamon Dolce Latte

Since we can’t have PSLs all year long, the good ol’ cinnamon dolce latte is a good substitute if the craving hits in, say, March. Not only can the spicy bev be made with any alt-milk, but there’s also a version for those searching for low-calorie fall Starbucks drinks: Ask your barista to make it “skinny” (new name ideas, anyone?) with nonfat milk, sugar-free syrup, and no whip.
Pumpkin Hot Chocolate
If you’re looking for fall drinks without coffee, we nominate this off-menu option. (Who doesn’t love ordering from the Starbucks secret menu?) Made by adding a few pumps of pumpkin syrup to a standard hot chocolate (or white hot chocolate!), it tastes like fall in a cup. Like any hot chocolate, it can also be made nonfat or with nondairy milk.
Caramel Apple Spice

It’s been on the menu for, well, ever, but some people still don’t realize you can order this tasty drink year-round. If you haven’t tried one, it’s steamed apple juice with cinnamon dolce syrup, whipped cream, and caramel sauce, and tastes like apple pie in drink form. During fall, you can also order a Caramel Apple Pumpkin Spice—a.k.a. the same drink spiked with pumpkin spice syrup. For a lower-calorie drink, you could skip the whipped cream here, but TBH, it’s part of what makes it so magical. Also, note that the caramel sauce is made with dairy, so this one can’t be made dairy-free.
Chai Latte
Thankfully, the beloved chai latte is also available all year long, hot or iced. But the cinnamon, cloves, and other warm spices make it especially comforting during fall. (Also, try adding a pump of—you guessed it—pumpkin spice sauce for a seasonal twist.) It’s delicious with coconut milk, but you can have it made with any milk or alt-milk of your choice.
Starbucks Pumpkin-Spice-Flavored Nondairy Creamer
Great news: Both the chain’s regular and nondairy pumpkin spice creamers are back this year. Made with a blend of almond and oat milks, the latter promises to be just as creamy and spicy as the original. This may be the best option for those looking to find vegan fall Starbucks drinks options.
Starbucks Pumpkin-Spice Cold Brew Concentrate
Also back this year: this cold brew concentrate flavored with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. All you have to do is dilute it with water to your taste and add milk or creamer for an instant fall beverage right in your kitchen.
Starbucks Maple-Pecan-Flavored Coffee
We also love to make Starbucks coffees using their flavored beans. For an at-home drink that isn’t pumpkin (gasp), we present this equally seasonal ground coffee with notes of maple and toasted pecan. Feeling those fall vibes yet? We thought so.
