Rachel Bilson says she is “baffled” after losing a job for speaking candidly about her sex life, and honestly, same.
The 41-year-old revealed on the May 15 episode of her Broad Ideas podcast that she was dropped from a project “because of things that were said,” per E! News.
“A job got taken away from me because I was speaking candidly and openly about sex in a humorous way on our friend’s podcast,” she continued. “I basically got a job, that I already had, pulled from me because I was speaking openly about sex.”
“This is the first time it’s ever happened to me in my professional life,” she noted.
Bilson, who shares eight-year-old daughter Briar Rose with ex Hayden Christensen, added, “A single mom, a woman, lost a job because they were being candid and honest and the subject was sex.”
Rachel Bilson Is Now Talking About Her Preferred Sex Position
The former OC star is the latest celebrity to hop on the TMI train.
Earlier this month the OC alum appeared on the Women on Top podcast, cohosted by Tammin Sursok and Roxy Manning, during which she discussed her favorite and least favorite sex positions. “I like missionary. I’ve learned that if you want to have an orgasm during sex, you have to be on top…. I want to be fucking manhandled,” said Bilson. On Broad Ideas she clarified that the comment was meant to be lighthearted: “First of all, I said it in a joking manner in the interview, like, ‘Yeah, I wanna get fucking manhandled.’ Basically, it’s like, Okay, give control or take control in the bedroom, whatever.”
However, this is hardly the first time that the Hart of Dixie star has spoken frankly about her sex life. Speaking with comedian Whitney Cummings during a March episode of , Bilson revealed that she didn’t orgasm during sex until she was 38 years old. “Isn’t that crazy?” she told Cummings.
Bilson did not share further details about the job she lost but did say, “Everything was set in motion…. It sucks.”
“I haven’t said anything inappropriate,” Rachel Bilson added. “Choice of language, if I could go back, now knowing I lost a job, maybe I would say it differently. But I still wouldn’t not say it.”
