DC’s Tysons to host Cirque du Soleil this July
Tysons Corner Center, one of the DC area’s premier shopping destinations, will host Cirque du Soleil’s newest show “Kurios—Cabinet of Curiosities” from July 21 through August 21. During its one-month stop at Tysons, Cirque du Soleil is slated for 38 performances.
This is just one of several initiatives Tysons has taken to increase its reach and attract more visitors. The expansion of the DC metro to Tysons Corner has also led to growth in residential areas, entertainment, and dining options. Tysons has also added 5 new restaurants, a skating rink, concerts and outdoor markets over the past year.
Tysons also received approval from Fairfax County in January for a multi-year project that will include 4.2 million square feet of development across 18 acres. The first phase of construction includes a Whole Foods Market, one-acre of retailers, 400,000 square feet of offices and 800 residential units at the Greensboro metro stop, just one past Tysons Corner.
