The next edition of the international trade show for professionals in the home decor, design and lifestyle sectors, Maison & Objet, is set to kick off this Thursday, September 8 at the Parc des expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. Over a five-day period, the event will bring together 2,200 brands, 47% of which are French labels, which represents 50% more exhibitors than a year ago, but 25% less than before the pandemic.
Maison & Objet will be divided into 15 sectors, including Kids & Family, a space dedicated to children’s rooms, and more specifically, to home decor, toys, furniture, textiles and accessories. Among the 161 exhibitors present at Kids & Family will be the French cosmetics brand Ouate, Ki et La glasses, Moulin Roty, the accessories brand Hello Hossy and Bonton
The Fashion Accessories space, which houses bags, jewelry, scarves and clothing labels, will host 214 brands. Among them, the shoe brand Pare Gabia, bags brand Jack Gomme, and beachwear label Gili’s Paris.
“Maison & Objet is expecting at least a 10% increase in attendance compared to September 2021, but still down 25% compared to the period before Covid. Asia, Eastern Europe and South America are still significantly down in entries,” said the show, which still expects to receive 40% of international visitors, compared to 28% a year earlier, boosted by the return of British buyers as well as highly qualified buyers from India, Japan and Korea.
A total of 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the fair.
